The thing is you gave most of it away by using camera shake, which is a dead givaway, and 8 was done by simply adding a sound fx when he "catches" it, although in reality he just threw it off camera and acted like he catched it. Anyway good stuff i liked the video!
I think 1 was Post because they repeated the trick twice and in the second one you could see the other hand stay to his side and his palm not showing. Twice to show you the difference between Digital and analog? 8 I think was digital because the monkey doesn't fall back down at the same rate the last time as it did the previous throws.. I think it's a CG monkey that falls down the last time. 6 is definitely real because he never waves his hand across the forward and backward axis. (infront of his face or around the pther side of the coin opposite his face)
While 3 could have been acomplished with something like a Bat or Raven it wasn't. Look at the reflection of the downward facing palm off the table.
I feel cheated with #8 since it was better to acomplish it as an analog effect having someone catch the monkey instead of letting it fall and removing it in post. I thought it was analog but looks like he did ido it digitally.
I just got home from drinking, it's 4:30 in the morning, and I just watched this video I've heard so much about. I think 3, 6, 7 and 8 are digital in one way or another. I just say this because I know how "I" would do 1, 2, 4 and 5 and I would not need to use digital effects to get them done, dosen't mean you can't, or that Brian didn't, I could just see ways around it. The others were trickier and if they were analog, then that just proves how much of a wizard Brian is! Good job, Sir! Happy St. Partick's!
I know 3 can be done analog, but I think to fool cocksure wannabee magic fans, I think they did it digitally. 5 was the hardest because its a trick many magicians do, but I thought the camera movement and/or the SUV with trailer could have blocked the transition. I'm leaning toward analog because when Brushwood said "get out of here", it seemed like a cue for the little girl to jump up and Josh to fall down. The thing that is itching in the back of my mind about 5 is everything that happened before the trick lends one to believe it's analog. Sleight of...camera?
Guys, just because the trick CAN be done in analogue doesn't mean that it WAS done in this show (most specifically #3). Here is what I voted and WHY (spoiler alert... duh!). Also note that I grabbed the high def version from their website and went frame by frame...
1: Digital. He kept the coin in his left hand and they digitally removed it. Notice how the fingers on his left hand don't move after he does the trick.
2: Analog. Frame by frame analysis (I always wanted to say that!) shows that he sets the coin in his left hand then immediately picks it up with his right hand (you can see it for a few frames).
3: Digital. You CAN do this with a magnet in the left palm but this was done by CUTTING two videos together. Again, go frame by frame, as he pulls his hand away you can CLEARLY see a cut between frames (frankly, one of the most obvious ones).
4: Analog. He has the new card in his right hand.
5: Analog. I stressed over this one but in the end believe that it was all done for "real". I see no obvious signs of cutting or editing.
6: Analog. Guessed...
7: Digital. Guessed...
8: Digital. The monkey NEVER comes down (not even digitally), but you can HEAR it being caught. This may have been done on set but I am guessing it was done in post.
What the people commenting here are missing is that just because there is a way to do something analogue does not mean that's how the film riot crew did it. My guess is there is a method to do every single one of these tricks without any post production but there are definitely a few in here that are digital. I'm interested to see which are which. My guesses were 3,4,6,7 are digital.

I posted on Twitter but I'm new to it (yeah, I know)...
1, 2, 4, 5, 8 are Analog. 3,6 & 7 are Digital.
Some very nice analog stuff Brian...

Excellent video and effects. Maybe you should work for Criss Angel, whose video effects suck.

Only digital ones are 6 and 7, its funny that people are saying 3 is digital... LMAO... guess they aren't magicians...
the first half (1 to 4) are Analog, the second half is Digital (5 to 8) but i'm not so sure about number 5.

Voted all digital just for fun :)
Vote all analogue for a very short show next week.
Proof that 7 is also analogue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M88iAePJTjA

I need to know how to turn a young adult man into a little girl.
I also have no guess to offer, because I'm oblivious to those tricks.
I think 2,6 & 8 are digital and all the others are analog.
Great episode you guys.
